Here are a couple upcoming events at Chester Skatepark for Scooter/BMX. Check it out! Chester park is a great example of a regional concrete skatepark that draws people from across the province and is a great economic driver for their community.
Ramp it up 2!
A silent auction fundraiser in support of the Kentville Skatepark
Join us at the Designer Cafe in Kentville this Friday June 26 from 6:30-9:30pm
for an evening of food, music and fun! Over 25 local artists have created a piece of art
using a blank skateboard deck as their canvas. These unique ‘art boards’ are currently on display
at the cafe and are up for auction with bidding closing the night of the event. All proceeds go towards the construction of Kentville’s future skatepark. This is a great way to support our talented local artists, while promoting healthy active living in our community. See you there!
Skatepark Association Meeting tonight!
The next meeting of the Kentville Skatepark Association is tonight, June 11 at 7pm at Kentville town Hall, 354 main street. Find out how you can get involved with bringing a world-class concrete skatepark to our town! We will be planning our upcoming events and fundraisers and taking a look at some of the preliminary concepts given to us by our design firm, New Line Skateparks. Please use the back entrance to the building and look for a sign on the door at the top of the ramp to indicate what room we are in. Hope to see you there!
Join the Kentville Skatepark Association for our third ramp jam event this Apple Blossom Saturday from 12pm-4pm at Veteran’s Lane in Kentville! We will have our portable skateboard park set up of BMX riders, scooter riders and skateboarders to enjoy, free of charge. Remember to bring your helmet! DJ Rod McMahon will be spinning some tunes and there may even be a draw prize! See you on Saturday!
Join us this Saturday to be a part of the Apple Blossom Children’s Parade! If you have a child who is enthusiastic about BMX riding, Scooter riding or Skateboarding bring them to Kentville town hall at 9:15am to join our parade contingent (just look for our blue shirts and banners and helmets). They are encouraged to bring their scooter, bike or skateboard and their helmet. If they have a KSA T-shirt they can bring that as well (A limited number of T shirts will be available that day) This will be a great way to show how much community support there is for our skatepark project! See you Saturday!
